The 4Cs, priced
Diamond Price Estimator
Set the carat weight, colour, clarity, cut and shape and the estimator returns a retail price range for a certified stone, natural or lab-grown, plus the typical resale offer. Estimates, not appraisals, but close enough to know when a price is wrong.

How the estimate works
The estimator starts from a base price per carat for a natural, round, G colour, VS1, Excellent cut diamond in the one-carat bracket and applies multipliers for carat bracket, colour, clarity, cut and shape. Lab-grown stones are priced at a fraction of natural ones, reflecting the current market. The result is a retail range for a certified stone; the resale figure is what a buyer would typically offer.
Reading the result
If a jeweler’s price sits well above the range, ask why: a famous brand, exceptional cut, or margin. If it sits well below, check the report. See the guides on the 4Cs and on reading a certificate.
