About Paliana

Paliana is an independent guide to jewelry, gemstones, diamonds, gold and watches. We write the guides we wished we had before our own first purchases, we publish live precious metal prices from our own server and we build tools that turn a vague question into a number.

Why Paliana

Jewelry is sold with adjectives and bought with feelings, and the numbers are kept behind the counter. Paliana exists to bring the numbers forward: what a grade actually changes in price, what a gram of 18K gold is worth today, what a pre-owned watch dealer will realistically offer and which questions to ask before signing anything.

How we work

Our guides are written by the editorial team and reviewed against current trade practice. We do not sell jewelry ourselves, we do not run affiliate links and we do not accept paid placements in the guides. Where we quote prices, they are indicative and will move with the market. Where we describe how buyers calculate offers, we describe typical practice, not a promise.
